The Hartford Hospital Emergency Department, one of the busiest in Connecticut, provides care for patients experiencing the highest acuity levels in the region. As a chest pain and comprehensive stroke center, our department boasts 109 beds, including a 19-bed ED Observation Unit, treating an average of 109,000 patients annually. We also host the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI), renowned for advanced medical simulation training. Additionally, Life Star, the state's first Critical Care helicopter service, operates from our ED. Our exceptional RNs have been recognized with the prestigious National Lantern Award for Excellence in Nursing. Role Overview: The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) plays a crucial role in supervising a large team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective services aligned with the hospital's strategic goals. You will foster effective and positive relationships with staff, patients, and families by responding to needs, resolving conflicts, and educating team members. The ANM will facilitate clear communication among staff, management, and patients/families, ensuring the smooth operation of the department and support for the ED team. The ANM reports directly to the Emergency Department Nurse Manager. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant certification required. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CEN certifications preferred. A minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience. At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role within an emergency care environment.
