Department Overview: The Oracle Corporate Architecture team is focused on defining and maintaining product architecture standards across essential areas like security protocols, leveraging Oracle's core technology stack, ensuring accessibility, and adhering to intellectual property strategies and compliance. We play a pivotal role in the integration of third-party technologies in Oracle Products, as well as managing access to Oracle's network, product source code, open-source releases, and commercial inbound licensing agreements. Position Highlights: This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities that integrate business and technical leadership while ensuring adherence to Oracle's organizational policies. Key responsibilities include: Defining requirements and creating specifications for tools that support policy implementation, such as software approval management, code scanning, bill of materials generation, and AI tracking within Oracle's offerings. Ensuring compliance of all products with licensing policies related to third-party technology and collaborating with development teams to rectify compliance issues as they arise. Reviewing and approving various elements related to intellectual property rights, including: Utilization of Free and Open Source Software Integration of proprietary third-party software and cloud services Use of Oracle-owned data and third-party licensed data for product development and research External consulting and development services for product development, auditing, and certification Distribution agreements regarding Oracle source code Third-party access to Oracle's internal networks Incorporation of third-party hardware into Oracle products and services Application of artificial intelligence in Oracle's products and services Partnership agreements related to the aforementioned elements Working closely with Legal teams, business lines, and cross-functional technology groups on all architectural and policy-related matters. Collecting, drafting, and distributing Corporate Architecture policies on third-party technologies, source code, security practices, open-source initiatives, and commercial agreements. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, being either an experienced developer in contract management or a business operations manager or attorney with a strong technical foundation. Candidates should be adept at interpreting the implications of proposed technological solutions concerning security, licensing, and competitive positioning. At least 5 years of experience in software development, business operations, or product management is required. Familiarity with product and network security, third-party technology integration, and intellectual property management is advantageous. Exceptional teamwork, communication, and decision-making skills are crucial. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
