Data Science is essential to Coinbase's product and decision-making processes. Our role encompasses collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to influence the product roadmap and deepen our understanding of users. Our expertise in experimentation, analytics, and advanced modeling fosters insights that positively impact company growth. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive analyses and investigations on complex business issues. Your insights will guide the team's decision-making. Manage a range of data and metrics, from core logging to producing informative data visualizations. Lead code reviews, provide guidance in SQL and Python, and create well-maintained ETL processes. Maintain high statistical rigor within the team by ensuring robust experiments and causal analyses that build stakeholder confidence. What We Look For: A BA/BS in a quantitative field (e.g., Math, Stats, Physics, or Computer Science) with over 5 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in a quantitative field with over 3 years of experience. Demonstrated experience in driving impactful data science projects that tackle complex and ambiguous challenges. Ability to influence stakeholders by translating data insights into engaging narratives. Practical knowledge of applying advanced modeling techniques to real-world business scenarios. Professional experience utilizing SQL and Python effectively. Experience working within iterative development cycles for digital products. Pay Transparency Notice: Based on your work location, the target annual base salary for this role ranges as stated below. Full-time offers from Coinbase include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)). Base salary range: $180,370 - $212,200 USD.
