PRIMARY PURPOSE: Analyze complex general and auto liability claims to determine benefits; handle high exposure claims involving litigation; ensure claims are processed within service expectations and industry best practices; identify potential subrogation and negotiate settlements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Investigate and analyze complex general liability and auto liability claims to determine exposure, managing the claims towards timely resolution. Assess liability and resolve claims efficiently. Negotiate claim settlements within your authority. Calculate reserves for claims, ensuring adequacy throughout claim life. Process benefits, ensuring timely payments and claims adjustments. Prepare state filings as necessary within statutory limits. Manage the litigation process for timely, cost-effective claim resolution. Coordinate vendor referrals for investigations and litigation management. Implement cost containment strategies to minimize overall claim costs for our clients. Handle claim recoveries, including subrogation and Social Security offsets. Report claims to excess carriers and respond to inquiries professionally. Maintain clear communication with claimants and clients regarding claim status. Ensure accurate documentation and coding of claim files. Refer cases to supervisors as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional certification in line of business is desirable. Experience: A minimum of five (5) years in General Liability claims management or equivalent experience is required. As required by law, Sedgwick provides a pay range for this role in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency. The expected starting salary range is $75,000 - $90,000, influenced by various factors including experience and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package.
