What We’re Looking For: Completion of a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related science/engineering field by August 2026. Strong proficiency (independently able to deliver coding projects) in C, C++, and Java. Ability to implement complex algorithms and data structures in large systems with high quality. Experience in three or more of the following areas through coursework or projects: Computer Architecture / Software Architecture Distributed Systems Database Systems and Internals (Storage Engine) Multithreaded/Multicore Programming Parallel Programming Operating Systems Concepts Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning Completion of at least one relevant internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience. Must be a resident of the United States or attend a U.S. university. Willing to obtain work authorization in the U.S. in 2026. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum GPA of 3.0 Your Role and Responsibilities: As part of the Database Engineering Team, you will engage in full-stack development across various databases, including Oracle NoSQL and Oracle Times-Ten In-Memory Database. This systems-focused team tackles challenges in distributed databases, scalability, high availability, security, analytics, and more. You will contribute to developing in-database machine-learning and AI algorithms that enhance customer solutions and drive product autonomy.
