Yard Operations Specialist

Join our team as a Yard Operations Specialist, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our yard. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting yard checks to maintain organization and safety Performing maintenance inspections on trailers in accordance with PGT and DOT standards Documenting and reporting any damages to trailers and loads with photographs Ensuring adherence to the Claim Process Overseeing the reconciliation of essential PGT equipment, such as coil racks, lumber, rubbers, and tarps Managing securement inventory for Maintenance both physically and systematically Ensuring all loads in the yard are securely covered to prevent loss during transit Assisting drivers during the seating and loading process Completing weekly forklift check sheets Checking and maintaining all securement devices to ensure reliability Keeping the yard free of snow and ice during seasonal conditions Conducting weekly cycle counts for inventory accuracy Performing safety audits on drivers to ensure proper load securing before departure Maintaining a clean and organized work area in the yard Abiding by all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment Performing additional duties as assigned by management We are committed to providing a clean and safe workplace, along with a competitive hourly rate, benefits, and a matching 401k plan.
