Job Description Join our innovative team to deliver exceptional Oracle Database Administration support for enterprise production systems. In this role, you will closely collaborate with application development teams, providing invaluable services like database design, development, and comprehensive production support. This position involves complete lifecycle management of MySQL databases—from implementation and maintenance to troubleshooting and enhancement. You will have opportunities to mentor and coach fellow team members in database administration, migration, and support tasks. Experience in cloud services is essential, with familiarity in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle OCI Autonomous Database (ADB) being a significant advantage. Flexibility for on-call duty and readiness to work weekends and after hours is required, along with the capability to work independently as a proactive self-starter. Key Responsibilities Deliver robust production database administration support. Install and configure MySQL enterprise databases; facilitate data migration from other RDBMS to MySQL. Conduct database management, routine maintenance, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and implement security measures. Define and enforce best practices, automate processes to minimize manual tasks, and generate thorough documentation. Oversee performance tuning, backup and recovery planning, and manage system storage allocation to accommodate future needs. Work within both Linux and Windows environments, including OCI cloud-based MySQL databases. Create database-related scripts and assess new MySQL tools. Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours and weekend support as needed. Mentor team members to elevate their skills in MySQL administration. Salary and Benefits The salary range for this role is between $38.03 and $76.06 per hour, translating to an annual salary of $79,100 to $158,200. Equity options may also be available.
