Description Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients spanning pediatric to geriatric populations through both standardized tools and careful observations. Craft individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Engage in targeted speech therapy interventions concentrating on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties. Work in synergy with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to develop integrated care strategies. Educate patients and families to encourage progress outside of clinical hours. Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and treatments to ensure consistent patient care throughout their journey. Maintain precise and timely documentation that complies with local, federal, and institution guidelines. Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY), if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment approaches relevant to all age groups, with a deep comprehension of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills for effective engagement with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Able to customize therapy methods to address diverse cultural and linguistic requirements. Strong clinical intuition and problem-solving capacity.
