The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise in NetSuite and the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective configurations while maintaining a consulting presence with CFOs, Controllers, operators, and PE teams. Note that this is not a development position; however, a solid understanding of SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and the architectural framework of NetSuite is essential for guiding scalable solutions and collaborating effectively with technical teams. Key Responsibilities: Core Delivery (NetSuite Functional + Advisory) Lead workstreams for NetSuite implementations, optimizations, and stabilization post-launch. Facilitate requirements gathering, business process mapping, and design sessions tailored to scaling demands of private equity. Manage hands-on configuration tasks, including workflows, saved searches, dashboards, approvals, custom forms, and user roles/permissions. Review and guide technical solutions (SuiteScript, integrations, custom records) in collaboration with development teams to ensure scalability and maintainability. Assist with data migration and validation processes, including field mapping, cutover strategies, and testing management. PE-Focused Advisory Support Contribute to ITA diligence activities: conduct NetSuite red flag assessments, evaluate integration needs, and provide cost-to-scale insights. Quickly evaluate client environments to identify process gaps, risks, and immediate improvement opportunities. Develop strategies for enhancements, reporting, and operational improvements. Program + Stakeholder Leadership Act as the main communication bridge between client leadership, operators, and implementation vendors to ensure alignment and effective risk management. Utilize ITA delivery best practices (requirements documentation, FDDs, testing scripts, PMO trackers) to drive execution. Support change management, end-user engagement, training materials, and plans for post-launch support. Internal Special Ops Contributions Develop standardized playbooks for NetSuite configuration, testing, and optimization processes. Mentor junior consultants and offshore resources; ensure quality in all deliverables and client interactions. Collaborate with other ITA practices (IT Strategy, OCIO, M&A Support) for integrated engagements. Qualifications: Education Bachelor's degree required (Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field). Preferred NetSuite certifications: SuiteFoundation, Administrator, ERP Consultant. Experience 5-8 years of experience in NetSuite implementation, optimization, or functional consulting. Prior consulting experience or work in rapidly changing private equity environments is desirable. Proven ability to lead NetSuite projects from design through implementation and testing. Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency, or integration-heavy settings is a strong advantage. Technical Proficiencies Deep functional knowledge of NetSuite applications, including GL, AR/AP, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Inventory, and Reporting. Familiarity with advanced modules (Advanced Inventory, WMS, Manufacturing) is preferred. Good understanding of SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk/RESTlets, and SuiteAnalytics to effectively guide development efforts. Proficiency with project management and ticketing tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet). Key Competencies: Strong consulting presence capable of advising CFOs, Controllers, and private equity operating teams. Structured thinking to create clarity in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written, with a focus on delivering executive-ready presentations. Able to balance detailed functional requirements with practical business judgment.
