Summary We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director of IT Applications to join our team in a key leadership role as we continue our digital transformation journey. Reporting to the Sr. Director of IT, this position is responsible for defining strategic direction, leading the implementation, and ensuring the optimal utilization of SAP S/4HANA across critical pharmaceutical business functions. The ideal candidate will have extensive functional and technical expertise in essential SAP modules such as Production Delivery, Supply Chain, Quality Management (QM), Manufacturing (PP/ME), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Direct Procurement (MM) in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Define and manage the SAP S/4HANA functional and solution roadmap aligned with our digital transformation strategy and business objectives. Act as the primary solution architect and functional expert for all integrated S/4HANA modules (focusing on PP, MM, QM, SD, EWM, and related master data). Translate complex business requirements into scalable, compliant, and efficient SAP S/4HANA solutions using industry knowledge and best practices. Oversee a portfolio of SAP projects and enhancements, ensuring alignment with budget, timeline, and quality standards. Implementation & Optimization Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects from blueprinting and configuration to testing, go-live, and post-implementation support. Manage functional design and configuration for core business processes, including: Procurement: Direct, Intercompany, and Source-to-Pay processes (MM, integration). Supply Chain & Manufacturing: Production planning (PP), execution (ME integration), and inventory management. Quality & Compliance: Quality Management (QM) processes including batch management and inspection plans. Warehouse & Logistics: Advanced/Embedded Warehouse Management (EWM) for regulated environments. Ensure compliance with GXP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. Team Management & Governance Lead, mentor, and manage a team of internal SAP functional consultants, solution architects, and external system integrators. Establish and maintain robust SAP governance processes, including change management and documentation standards. Act as a key liaison between the IT department and Executive Leadership. Qualifications 10+ years of progressive experience in SAP functional and solution delivery, with proven leadership in SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation projects. Hands-on functional expertise in core SAP modules: PP, QM, MM, and EWM. Experience in a highly regulated industry (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Medical Device), with a comprehensive understanding of GXP and compliance regulations. Demonstrated success in leading large, complex, cross-functional teams and projects. Education & Technical Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of S/4HANA architecture and modern SAP integration technologies. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. The base salary range for this role is $186,880 to $233,600, with merit-based increases and incentives available. Our compensation package includes eligibility for our 401(k) plan and comprehensive insurance options, along with a robust time-off policy. Total compensation will be determined based on the individual candidate's experience and skills.
