Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Electrical Engineer and take your career to the next level! We are searching for a professional who is passionate about electrical design and equipment upgrades in medium and high voltage power distribution systems within industrial settings. You will have the opportunity to design and select equipment, including motor control centers, drives, switchgear, panelboards, substation transformers, and more. This position not only allows for professional growth but also enables you to contribute to sustainable resource management. Please note: This role allows for remote work, but occasional travel to South Florida client sites will be required. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on challenging projects, mentor junior engineers, and engage with clients in the water and wastewater sectors. Your responsibilities will encompass: Electrical design collaboration for plant and pump station power systems Creation of precise and effective reports, documents, and technical memorandums Serving as project task manager or lead discipline engineer as necessary Scoping, budgeting, and prioritization for projects to meet deadlines Managing and executing electrical designs with a focus on time and budget adherence Collaborating with national teams for design standards and efficient coordination Mentoring electrical and Instrumentation and Control (I&C) engineers and designers Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Professional Engineering registration is required At least 12 years of relevant experience in government, municipal, or industrial water and wastewater industries preferred Strong background in power systems design and equipment specifications, including service entrance, feeder circuits, lighting, grounding, and emergency power systems Familiarity with power system analysis and modeling software such as SKM and ETAP is a plus Hands-on experience with medium to high voltage systems is essential Solid comprehension of the National Electrical Code and electrical safety systems (NFPA 70E) Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to multi-task, be self-motivated, and work independently while meeting tight deadlines Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay is based on the employee's primary work location and may vary according to skills and experience: $118,000 - $161,000 $130,000 - $177,000 $142,000 - $194,000 Our comprehensive benefits package promotes a healthy work-life balance and includes medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and more.
