Job Description Evening Mold Maker Shift Details: Evening shift Onsite, fulltime Company Overview: A respected family-owned leader in plastic mold making with over 100 years of experience A 45,000 sq. ft. facility dedicated to high-precision injection mold construction, repair, modifications, and sampling Key Responsibilities: Build, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of injection molds, both large and small Disassemble and assemble mold components; perform precision machining, polishing, texturing, and alignment Read and interpret blueprints and CAD prints; conduct detailed layouts using shop trigonometry and precision measuring tools Operate advanced CNC mills, lathes, EDM machines, surface grinders, and spotting presses Maintain comprehensive logs, ensure molds are ready for production, and perform quality checks Analyze mold defects such as flashing, venting, and cooling issues, and implement corrective actions Fabricate and fit spare parts and tooling components to support mold revisions Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to drive continuous process improvements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical schooling or apprenticeship in mold/tool making preferred At least 5 years of experience in plastic injection mold making or tool and die Proficiency with machine shop equipment and precision measuring instruments Strong blueprint reading, trigonometry, mechanical aptitude, and CNC operation skills Able to lift moderate loads and stand for extended periods during shifts Desired Traits: Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and quality Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Team player who adapts well during evening shifts Comfortable documenting work and collaborating across departments Please submit your resume for consideration.
