Urology Surgical Laser Technician

Responsibilities as a Urology Surgical Laser Technician: Conduct procedures following established Laser protocols. Set up and prepare ureteroscopy/laser equipment in the operating room prior to each procedure. Assist Urologists with ureteroscopy and laser interventions. Arrive at the facility at least 60 minutes before the procedure start time. Accurately complete and submit treatment and billing documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage the inventory of supplies and cystoscopy equipment. Communicate with facilities to verify schedules, patient procedures, and start times. Establish an after-hours contact at each facility for emergencies or equipment issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with physician partners. Keep Policies & Procedure Manuals up-to-date and review them ahead of inspections. Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and supplies to facilitate efficient procedures. Report any equipment malfunctions to the service engineer. Wear a company name badge at all times while present in a facility. Qualifications for the Urology Surgical Laser Technician: Preferably Certified Scrub Tech or Certified Surgical Technologist or related experience. Prior experience in an Operating Room is highly desirable. Experience in Urology practices is a plus. Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Operating Room setting required. Familiarity with Holmium Laser usage for Urology procedures is an advantage. Knowledge of sterilization protocols will be beneficial.
