Facilities Maintenance Technician

Urgently Hiring Salary $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience and skill level. Job Description Summary/Objective We are expanding our team and are seeking a dedicated, self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will utilize your skills across various maintenance tasks to keep our machines, mechanical equipment, and facilities in excellent repair. Your responsibilities will include a wide range of tasks from installation and repair of our buildings to troubleshooting and fixing electrical or mechanical equipment. Daily travel within New York State is necessary, and you will use a company vehicle for this purpose. Your home location will influence your travel areas, as our establishments are distributed throughout the state. Occasional company-paid travel and overnight assignments may be required during larger projects or new facility openings. Essential Functions Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operation of machines, building systems, and overall physical condition of facilities. Inspect and test machinery or equipment to identify malfunctions. Diagnose mechanical issues and determine corrective measures, reviewing blueprints and manuals as needed. Assemble, install, or repair electrical components, plumbing, and machinery. Adjust functional parts of devices or controls, utilizing hand tools and levels. Repair or replace faulty equipment parts using various tools. Assist in negotiating costs for build-outs and additional projects. Work Environment Work is performed in a retail/store setting. Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use a ladder is required. The physical demands outlined are representative of those required for successful performance of job functions. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time role. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Variability may occur based on workload. Travel 10% required Required Education and Experience High School diploma or GED MUST HAVE A NY STATE DRIVER'S LICENSE with a minimum of 3 years of verifiable driving experience. Preferred Education and Experience Prior experience in maintenance is preferred.
