Position Summary We are excited to hire an Accounts Payable Coordinator who is enthusiastic, dependable, and eager to grow in the accounting field. In this dynamic role, you will handle accounts payable tasks and additional responsibilities that contribute to the efficient financial operation of our organization. This is a full-time remote position. Responsibilities Process invoices and expense reports by verifying documentation, ensuring proper approval, coding, and posting transactions with a careful eye on budget management. Prepare monthly accruals for all vendors and purchasing card transactions. Reconcile balance sheet payable accounts each month, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare IRS form 1099s for annual vendor payment reporting. Manage the ordering and replacement of purchasing cards while maintaining appropriate credit limits. Update and sustain the vendor database, ensuring all banking details are current. Record transactions in journals, ledgers, and other financial records. Maintain detailed process documentation for accounts payable functions. Provide documentation support during audits. Communicate professionally and regularly with vendors. Assist with other special projects as requested by management. Behavioral Competencies Strong attention to detail. Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively. A collaborative team player who can also work independently. Qualifications Basic understanding of accounting principles. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with multi-currency transactions is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in data analysis. Comfortable with computer-based tasks, including data entry and processing. Education and Work Experience Associate Degree preferred; a High School Diploma with relevant work experience may be considered. 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting. Experience with cloud-based accounting software is a must. Background with Automated Banking Payment Solutions is an advantage. Physical and Mental Demands Regular use of office equipment such as computers and monitors. Capability to remain stationary, sitting or standing, for extended periods.
