Pay range: $15.00 - $32.00 per hour plus $8.00/billed hour commission. As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you will perform various mechanical repairs efficiently and with professionalism. Essential Job Duties/Functions: Conduct preventative maintenance and oil changes. Grease trucks and trailers. Provide tire services. Perform CSA/DOT inspections. Respond to service calls and night callouts. Diagnose and repair intermediate to advanced electrical issues. Conduct intermediate to advanced wheel-end repairs. Perform air system repairs and diagnostics. Engage in basic HVAC maintenance and repairs. Complete basic coolant system repairs. Conduct basic welding tasks. Handle basic starting and charging system diagnostics. Perform basic engine repairs. Engage in basic steering and suspension repairs. Perform drivetrain and transmission repairs. Maintain a clean and organized shop environment. Ensure all tools and service equipment are in proper working condition. Complete necessary documentation for work orders. Deliver excellent customer service while upholding the integrity of the Bosselman brand. Follow all safety protocols and complete OSHA Skills Demonstration within the first week of employment. Stay updated on all required training. Foster a cooperative work atmosphere with team members. Report for scheduled shifts punctually. Additional Job Duties: Assist with other responsibilities as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not include supervisory duties. Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements: Tire Service Certification by TIA within the first 18 months of employment. Air Brake Certification required. DOT Medical Card is mandatory at Boss Shops. Minimum of two years' experience as a diesel technician. Minimum Qualifications: Valid driver's license with insurability for driving. Completion of brake and wheel seal training. Ability to attend training for HVAC, Electrical, and DOT. Willingness to obtain ASE, DOT, TIA, and additional certifications. Able to work on weekends and holidays as needed. Must have reliable transportation and a functioning phone. Effective communication in English is necessary. Commitment to providing friendly and prompt customer service. Ability to work collaboratively with team members. Must demonstrate the proficiencies outlined in the Tech I training program. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here represent what must be met by a Shop Technician II to perform the essential functions of the job successfully.
