As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will be pivotal in our strategic sourcing and vendor management processes across essential categories, including Technology, Professional Services, and Contract Labor. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing and collaborating closely with the Sourcing Manager, your role will involve executing sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and providing data-driven insights aligned with Datavant's objectives of cost management, risk mitigation, and performance enhancement. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing & Category Support: Collaborate in executing category strategies and sourcing initiatives across Technology, Contract Labor, and Professional Services. Market Research: Conduct thorough market research, identify potential suppliers, and prepare comprehensive sourcing recommendations. Sourcing & Negotiation: Assist in RFx processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ), evaluate suppliers meticulously, and negotiate contracts to ensure the best cost, quality, and timely delivery. Contract Management: Work alongside Legal, Finance, and stakeholders to review contracts while managing approvals and documentation efficiently. Renewal Tracking: Keep track of contract expirations and renewals, ensuring timely renewal or initiation of competitive sourcing events. Spend Analysis: Analyze spend data diligently to uncover opportunities, track savings, and gauge performance. Reporting: Generate detailed reports and presentations to communicate sourcing activities, savings, and insights with internal teams. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cooperate with Finance, Legal, IT, and other departments to gather requirements and support sourcing initiatives. Process Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance the Source-to-Pay process and improve sourcing efficiency through innovative tools and data insights. Risk & Compliance: Ensure adherence to sourcing policies and vendor due diligence; proactively identify and address sourcing-related risks. Escalation: Communicate potential risks or concerns to the Sourcing Manager or Senior Manager as needed. Qualifications: Experience: 2-4 years in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management, ideally within a technology or high-growth environment. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Finance, or a relevant field. Technical Skills: Proficient with procurement technologies (Coupa experience preferred), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and spend analytics tools. Competencies: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capability. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Clear written and verbal communication proficiency. Highly organized, adept at managing multiple priorities and stakeholders. A collaborative team player committed to continuous improvement. Bonus Qualifications: Experience with M&A integration projects. Familiarity with managing technology, BPO, or professional services categories. The estimated total cash compensation for this position ranges from $77,000 to $90,000 USD.
