KH180 - Night Newborn Care Specialist - Los Feliz, CA

Overview A lovely couple living in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles is seeking a local newborn care specialist to start in mid March 2026 (due date March 18). The first two weeks will be 7 nights per week, then 5 nights per week for 2 weeks, and then 4 nights per week for 2 weeks. The schedule will be 7pm-7am. There is a possibility of extention if it's a good fit and the candidate is available. As new parents, they're looking forward to finding someone who can educate them on baby sleep, feeding, routines, and milestones. Responsibilities Care and engagement of the baby, including but not limited to sleep, feeding, and routine management.  Light housekeeping related to the baby, which will include keeping the baby's spaces organized, clean, and tidy, and sanitizing any toys or feeding items including bottles and pump parts Communicating with the parents about milestones, activities, temperament, and needs, and collaborating with them on care. Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby care while respecting the family's personal preferences Encourage healthy sleep habits and follow safe sleep guidelines  Baby laundry Recommending products for baby and nursery Qualifications The right candidate will have a positive and warm demeanor, glowing references, and plenty of experience supporting first-time parents. Knowledgeable and supportive personality, able to kindly guide new parents Requirements Up to date on TDap vaccine; ideally flu and COVID vaccines, but not required  Comfortable with a small friendly dog in the home  TrustLine certified, or willing to certify Calming and easy-going personality  Willing to share a sleeping space with a baby Legal to work in the US Candidate must live within easy commuting distance/must have own local housing for daytime/off-hours   Salary and Benefits Hourly pay between $45-60 depending on experience and certifications
