Commercial Parts Specialist

Job Description Join our team as a Commercial Parts Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our commercial business. In this full-time position, you will leverage your expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts to enhance customer relationships and support team members. Primary Responsibilities Foster and maintain strong commercial customer relationships. Deliver exceptional selling experiences to commercial clients. Meet personal and store sales goals and service objectives. Provide daily supervisory support for Team Members. Work closely with the General Manager (GM) on coaching and developing staff. Coordinate driver dispatch to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Maintain commercial stocking programs efficiently. Build a network of second source suppliers for optimal service delivery. Secondary Responsibilities Manage core bank and commercial returns effectively. Oversee commercial credit accounts. Collaborate with the GM to ensure proper driver coverage is maintained. Success Factors Outstanding communication skills with a friendly demeanor. Competence in locating and stocking parts accurately. Knowledge of safety protocols and inventory systems. Expertise in operating POS and parts lookup systems. ASE P2 certification or equivalent is preferred. Advanced selling techniques tailored to commercial customers. Organizational and multitasking abilities are essential. Effective listening and problem-solving skills. Essential Skills Needed Working knowledge of automotive systems with diagnostic abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Ability to interpret safety documentation and procedure manuals. Capability to complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully. Basic mathematical skills for various measurements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Understanding of commercial profitability concepts. Flexible availability for various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. Prior Experience Required A minimum of 3 years' experience in automotive parts is preferred. Demonstrated sales success with customer service experience. Experience in leading teams or managing tasks to achieve goals. Education High school diploma or GED is required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations ASE certification is preferred. Physical Demands This position requires a significant amount of walking and standing. Candidates must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Most work is indoors, with some tasks requiring outdoor work under various weather conditions. Employees may be exposed to moving parts, chemicals, and noise levels that are usually moderate. Compensation for this role ranges between $19.95 and $21.95 per hour, based on factors such as experience and skill level.
