We are seeking a Manager, Perfusion Services to join our team. About the Role The Manager, Perfusion Services ensures that the perfusion staff observe consistent and uniform standards of practice. This includes, but is not limited to, adherence to all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies, including CMS, UNOS, FDA, and institutional policies, work instructions, and approved guidelines. They will serve as the internal and external champion for Normothermic Regional Perfusion (NRP) and organ perfusion (kidney, liver perfusion, and lung/EVLP) programs - leading innovation, education, and optimization strategies to improve organ viability and transplant outcomes while collaborating with perfusion device and surgical partners. Responsibilities include: Provides oversight of perfusion and extracorporeal activities Develops and implements departmental procedures and operational standards that ensure compliance with Indiana Donor Network, UNOS, CMS, FDA, and institutional protocols. Oversees the daily operations of perfusion services, including NRP and organ perfusion procedures. Serves as a technical expert in Normothermic Regional Perfusion (NRP) and ex vivo organ perfusion technologies (kidney, liver, and lung/EVLP) to optimize donor organ recovery and transplantation. Monitors perfusion charting, case documentation, and data integrity for accuracy and completeness. Coordinates with Indiana Donor Network staff and transplant teams to ensure safe and effective normothermic regional perfusion. Ensures proper maintenance, readiness, and safety testing of perfusion and organ preservation equipment via supply chain biomed collaboration. Participates in and contributes to institutional and organizational committees, including the Medical Advisory Committee. Develops and maintains continuing education opportunities for perfusionists, including CEU programs and competency validations. Leads organ perfusion innovation and utilization strategies Partners with Organ Utilization, Clinical Management, Surgical Services, and Transplant Partners to enhance organ viability through NRP, EVLP, and machine perfusion technology. Collaborates with Business Analytics and Organ Services to evaluate data and outcomes related to organ recovery and utilization. Analyzes trends in perfusion-related organ discards, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing process refinements. Acts as a resource and subject matter expert for technologies, including normothermic regional perfusion and organ perfusion systems. Works with Business Analytics to develop dashboards and data tracking tools for perfusion metrics and organ perfusion performance indicators. Supports the integration of new technologies and evidence-based practices to improve the safety and efficiency of donor management. Who We're Looking For Master's or Doctoral degree in Perfusion Science, Cardiovascular Technology, or related field required Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) credential from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressive clinical perfusion experience, including advanced roles in ECMO, VAD, or organ perfusion. Previous leadership or management experience preferred. Demonstrated experience in Normothermic Regional Perfusion (NRP) and/or machine perfusion (kidney, liver, lung/EVLP) strongly preferred.
