CNC Machinist

CNC/Lathe Machinist Location: Clearwater, FL 33755 Pay Rate: $27.00- $28.00 hr. Shift: 2nd Workweek: 4 days, Monday to Thursday. Hours: 10-hour shift (3:00 PM 1:30 AM), including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes, working with aluminum, some plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts. We have Okuma Lathes, running with sub-spindle live tooling and bar feeders. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers) Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances Must be able to work off of blueprints Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance) You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner Requirements: A minimum of 2 years' experience operating CNC Lathes Experience with CNC Okuma a plus Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can-do metric to imperial conversions General knowledge of G-code and M-code Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts OSHA 10-hour Physical Demands: Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds The ability to stand up, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time Stations have anti-fatigue mats and stools available when needed Drug Free Workplace: We are a Florida Drug Free Workplace.
