Project Details: A leading networking company is looking for a self-motivated and team-oriented Junior Software Development Engineer in Test to help drive and sustain product development. This person will be part of the Manufacturing Test team, working closely with Engineering, Platform Design, and CM and DF partners. This high-visibility group ensures that every product shipped to customers works perfectly by developing and maintaining scalable test systems that validate hardware performance and reliability before it reaches end users. You'll work directly with global manufacturing partners, investigate real-time test failures, and contribute to improving test coverage and efficiency. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of experience in test engineering who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality products to customers. The right candidate will be collaborative, eager to learn, and excited to grow within a dynamic and fast-moving technical environment. Must Have Skills: 1-3+ years of experience in software test engineering or SDET roles (internship experience will be considered) Strong knowledge of testing concepts and writing test plans Experience with python programming - for test scripting and automation Working knowledge of Linux and Linux-based environments Understanding of databases -can query and update databases (only modifying) Understanding of fundamental networking concepts- understands how to connect remotely to servers and execute commands Comfortable analyzing test failures and determining root cause Problem solving skills Background in system-level testing or testing customer-facing products Nice to Have Skills: Exposure to manufacturing test environments Familiarity with liquid cooling systems in hardware Experience with web-based programming (REST APIs, GUIs, dashboards) Knowledge of web frameworks like Django or Flask Experience with MySQL or other relational databases Exposure to Golang Education/Certification Requirements: B.S. Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Computer Science Day to day responsibilities: Investigate test failures from the manufacturing line and determine if issues are due to hardware, scripts, or user error Analyze logs and data files to troubleshoot test failures Collaborate with manufacturing teams in Mexico and Asia for real-time issue resolution Recommend and implement changes to test scripts to reduce false failures and improve usability Debug complex system level problems and define debug processes for test engineers in manufacturing sites Support new product introductions into mass production by improving test coverage and identifying potential issues early Write and update manufacturing test plans for new and existing products using scripting language, such as Python or GO Work with contract manufacturers and fulfillment teams to ensure testing processes are smooth and efficient Report false failures and suggest script improvements that positively impact throughput Occasionally assist with data mining, web-based GUI interfaces, or tools that enhance manufacturing visibility Design for DFx : DFC, DFQ, DFM, DFR, DFT Actively work with the Defect Reduction Team (DRT) to identify product issues and drive resolutions
