As a Speech Language Pathologist nestled in one of Arizona's captivating communities, your work transcends traditional therapy. Whether your heart lies in nurturing young language enthusiast or tackling the communication challenges faced by adults recovering from neurological incidents, you will find your niche and autonomy. Description Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric age groups using both standardized tests and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans addressing immediate objectives and sustainable communication, cognitive, or swallowing enhancements. Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Coordinate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and relatives to devise cohesive patient care plans. Educate patients and families to promote progress beyond therapy sessions. Provide support during inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a seamless journey through the treatment process. Accurately document patient information in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and peer engagement. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days after starting employment. Skills Knowledgeable in evidence-based treatments for a range of ages, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging constructively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Flexibility to adjust therapy methods to cater to varied cultural and language backgrounds. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Proficient in managing electronic health records and documentation standards. Benefits Competitive salary corresponding to experience level. Flexible work hours to promote work-life harmony and diverse caseloads. Options for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics. Collaborative work culture centered on high-quality care and lifelong learning. A Profession That Travels with You - and Moves You This position won't merely involve delivering speech therapy - you'll become part of a vibrant movement to rekindle voices, enhance communication, and create moments of shared joy through the simplest yet profound human interactions: understanding and being understood. Each patient brings a story, and we trust you to help frame that narrative.
