Position: Patient Registration Representative Status: Full-Time with Benefits Schedule: Variable hours and days during the week with rotating weekend shifts. Job Summary: The Patient Registration Representative is responsible for greeting and registering patients in a prompt, friendly, and professional manner. This position plays a key role in creating a positive first impression for patients, visitors, and families. Key Responsibilities: Register patients efficiently and accurately upon arrival Greet and assist all patients, visitors, and responsible parties in a courteous manner Respond to emergency management situations as needed Collect co-payments and patient account balances when applicable Handle incoming hospital calls and route them to the appropriate departments Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards Requirements: Associate's degree in Business or Accounting preferred, High school diploma or equivalent required with over 2 years of customer service. Must have strong customer service and communication skills. Proficiency with computers, multitasking in a fast-paced environment and type 40+ words a minute. Must be able to sit for more than 66% of the workday. Requires the ability to take patients by wheelchair to other areas of the hospital for appointments or treatments.
