How does this role contribute to First Command? The Investment Operations Associate plays a critical role in supporting Advisors and clients by ensuring seamless processing and operational support within First Command. This position involves collecting data, inputting transactions, and evaluating information to identify any discrepancies while ensuring compliance with departmental standards. Key Responsibilities: Gain a comprehensive understanding of operational functions and task responsibilities. Process various account updates and respond to miscellaneous operational requests for managed, brokerage, and direct accounts. Execute Client and Advisor requests to establish, service, and enhance mutual fund, brokerage, and annuity business, adhering to departmental quality and productivity standards. Review incoming client documentation and work collaboratively with necessary internal and external personnel to resolve items that are not in good order (NIGO). Process requests from First Command Advisors and Clients received through mail, email, cases, fax, and other service requests. Enhance the client and Advisor experience by delivering effective and professional written and verbal communication. Engage in ongoing training and professional development to acquire additional skills that promote individual growth and enable cross-departmental functions. This role includes a rotation of job responsibilities for the purpose of cross-training and career advancement. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered. Possession of Series 7 & 63 licenses is preferred. Work Experience: At least one year of professional experience in a business environment is required. Experience in the Financial Services Industry is preferred. A four-year college degree may be accepted in lieu of previous work experience. Experience with multiple systems in a dual monitor setup and basic computer skills are necessary. Strong attention to detail and commitment to following policies and procedures are essential. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict operational deadlines. Strong time management and multitasking capabilities. Maintain high accuracy levels when processing each transaction request promptly. Proficiency working with multiple systems in a dual monitor environment with basic computer skills. Focus on attention to detail with a commitment to compliance with policies and guidelines. Demonstrate a passion for exceptional customer service with a client/advisor-first mentality and integrity. Self-motivated individual with a proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Willingness to work mandatory overtime when necessary. Location: This position is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote and in-office work.
