Job Description Electrical Estimator Specialist Gpac, a leading executive search firm specializing in the electrical construction industry, is on the lookout for a talented Electrical Estimator Specialist to enhance the team of a prominent local electrical contractor. Compensation & Benefits: Attractive base salary reflecting experience Potential for bonuses Comprehensive health insurance package 401K retirement plan Generous paid vacation Company vehicle or vehicle allowance Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare detailed proposal specifications and drawings to outline the scope of work and necessary estimate details. Conduct estimates for electrical work across commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Participate in pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs to confirm project requirements. Execute comprehensive take-offs for the electrical scope of work. Maintain organized estimate documentation, including supplier pricing and historical cost data. Collaborate with other departments, providing estimates in associated disciplines as needed. Evaluate design options and suggest cost-effective solutions. Engage with clients during bid walks and provide estimating support to field operations. Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience with an electrical contractor. Familiarity with Accubid, McCormick, or Conest estimating software. Strong understanding of electrical installations, estimating methods, and cost control. Capability to analyze computerized cost data and estimating systems. Detail-oriented with the capacity to meet deadlines. Stable work history is essential. Previous management or supervisory experience is an advantage.
