Join Our Dedicated Team and Make a Difference As a Patient Care Specialist focusing on dialysis treatment, you will be an essential part of a compassionate team dedicated to enhancing the lives of patients facing renal failure. Collaborating closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Charge Nurses (CNs), you'll ensure every patient receives top-notch care and support. Your Key Responsibilities: Patient Interaction: Directly engage with patients to deliver safe, comforting, and effective dialysis treatment. This includes gathering vital statistics, initiating treatment processes, monitoring patients throughout, terminating treatments, and collecting blood samples as directed by physicians. Technical Responsibilities: Prepare dialysis machines for treatment, ensure thorough cleaning and disinfection post-treatment, and perform safety checks, while maintaining compliance with protocols and regulations. Safety Protocols: Implement and adhere to safety protocols, including utilizing personal protective equipment, guided by Charge Nurses. Your involvement in team meetings and ongoing education will be crucial to ensure the highest standards of care. What We Seek: High school diploma or equivalent. A passion for healthcare and a desire to provide compassionate patient care. Preferred prior experience in healthcare settings such as dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Additional Requirements: Complete the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, demonstrating competency, within 8 weeks of hire. Finish the USRC training course in hemodialysis theory and practice within 8 weeks of hire. Obtain CPR certification within 90 days of hire or as required by state regulations. Acquire Patient Care Technician certification within 18 months of hire through a recognized program, maintaining it in good standing. Ability to distinguish all primary colors is necessary. Comfortable with mixing acids and bicarbonate according to established protocols. Ready to Make a Lasting Impact?
