Role Overview: As an Automotive Parts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our DIY business. Your automotive expertise and exceptional customer service skills will be vital as you assist customers with their projects. This full-time position invites you to utilize your knowledge to elevate the customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Provide an outstanding selling experience for DIY customers both in-store and over the phone. Meet and exceed personal and store sales goals while ensuring top-notch service. Manage DIY services including battery installations, testing, and wiper replacements. Maintain high levels of customer service and ensure the store is inviting and visually appealing. Take on key holder duties, including managing task assignments, ensuring safety, and performing opening/closing responsibilities. Additional Responsibilities: Assist with inventory management by receiving deliveries, conducting cycle counts, and organizing back stock effectively. Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and welcoming to all customers. Provide hands-on support with DIY services as needed. Success Factors: Excellent communication skills that create a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Ability to rapidly locate and restock parts efficiently. Understanding of safety protocols and practices. Proficiency in operating store systems and using equipment. Thorough knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and parts sourcing. Essential Skills: Strong understanding of automotive systems and diagnostics, particularly engines, suspension, brakes, and electronics. Effective English communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Aptitude for interpreting technical documents and procedural manuals. Ability to perform relevant mathematical calculations. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Qualifications: 3-5 years of automotive parts experience is preferred. Proven ability to drive sales and manage customer transactions effectively. A valid driver's license is required. ASE certification is a plus but not mandatory.
