Job Description Finance Manager - Optimize Compute Workloads M2 JOIN US IN A THRIVING ENVIRONMENT Become a vital part of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), one of Oracle's most dynamic and expanding segments. The Finance team is crucial in driving this growth, and as a member of the Workload Health team, you'll engage in financial planning and modeling for core product families within the OCI ecosystem. You will work closely with OCI leadership, focusing on driving business success while supporting rapid scaling. As the Finance Manager, you will have comprehensive ownership over the compute portfolio. You will manage a dedicated team tasked with leading intricate financial projects throughout the product lifecycle. Your role will involve strategic decision-making, enhancing financial models, and delivering insights that directly influence business performances. The ideal candidate is data-driven, possesses advanced modeling capabilities, and can deftly navigate both strategic and operational details. Main Responsibilities: Act as a Trusted Advisor to Engineering: Partner with engineering leaders to deliver financial insights that directly align product development with financial objectives. Lead Financial Management of Compute Products: Direct the financial analysis of the entire Compute Portfolio, providing insights that guide business decisions and optimize product offerings. Optimize Gross Margin: Drive initiatives to enhance margins by examining pricing, cost structures, operational efficiencies, and other related factors. Align Business Strategy with Financial Reporting: Convert business strategies into actionable financial reports, using KPIs and goal-setting to measure success across compute offerings in conjunction with executive leadership. Advise on Investment Decisions: Support investment choices with rigorous financial analyses, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Contribute to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the S&OP process to secure timely capacity investments that satisfy business needs for compute products. Establish Financial Policies & Procedures: Create and implement financial policies that underpin the operational objectives of the compute portfolio and enhance business performance. Manage and Mentor a High-Performing Team: Cultivate the growth and development of a talented team. PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with 12+ years of finance experience. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus. Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, effectively guiding analysts and nurturing their professional development. Understanding of Cloud Technology and Infrastructure; experience supporting engineering functions is a bonus. Exceptional communication skills, facilitating cooperation across various functions (engineering, finance, supply chain, operations) and all organizational levels. Results-oriented with a demonstrated capability to convert strategic ideas into practical initiatives that yield measurable results. A data-driven approach with a track record of employing financial analysis for strategic decision-making. Strong influencing skills, able to build lasting relationships and impact stakeholders without direct authority. Adept at thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing ambiguity, and driving initiatives forward independently. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail as well as an ability to perceive both the big picture and finer points. A proactive self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities, setting goals, and taking ownership of key projects.
