The Lead Product Owner for Business Intelligence Technology is instrumental in solving complex challenges through cutting-edge data solutions. You will spearhead the development of various business application products, tackling significant issues that impact healthcare quality measurements and compliance with CMS standards. We seek an experienced Product Owner who embodies a growth mindset and possesses extensive knowledge in developing data products related to CMS Stars and HEDIS quality measures. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, agile development, and software engineering. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, data engineers, and IT teams to transform intricate requirements into actionable product features that enhance quality measurement and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Technology Strategy and Roadmap: Create and manage the roadmap for data products that support CMS Stars and HEDIS reporting, ensuring alignment with overall enterprise goals. Backlog Management: Own and prioritize the product backlog for agile teams, making sure it aligns with business needs, regulatory updates, and technical requirements. Requirements Translation: Collect requirements from stakeholders and convert them into concise user stories with explicit acceptance criteria for developers. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary link between business and technical teams, ensuring effective communication across various departments. Technical Guidance: Partner with architects and engineers to design data flows, ensuring that technical solutions align with the product vision. Data Quality and Compliance: Collaborate with governance teams to set data quality standards and testing protocols, guaranteeing compliance with CMS mandates. Technical Debt Management: Advocate for addressing technical debt and implementing necessary architectural improvements. Stay Current: Keep abreast of changes in CMS, NCQA, and HEDIS requirements, coordinating updates as needed. Travel: Be prepared for occasional travel for meetings or training, expected quarterly. Your Skills Matter: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 8+ years of experience in data analysis and software development 2+ years in a project leadership role Strong background in healthcare data, particularly clinical and claims data used in HEDIS measurement Familiarity with CMS Stars programs, NCQA standards, and quality metrics Proficient in handling large and complex datasets Adept at analyzing data for meaningful business solutions and creating impactful visualizations Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating requirements effectively Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for engaging with senior leadership Desirable Qualifications: Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science) Knowledge of NCQA, CMS, and health plan quality measurement programs Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) Advanced skills in SQL, SAS, and additional data systems Expertise in data mining, simulation, forecasting, and predictive modeling Experience in developing analytical solutions in the healthcare sector Additional Information: Remote employees must maintain a strong internet connection (minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload). Humana will supply telephone equipment and requires a dedicated workspace to ensure privacy. Some travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be necessary. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: Estimated base pay of $117,600 - $161,700 annually, with eligibility for performance-based bonus incentives.
