Job Description Join our dynamic team as an Asset Protection Specialist and become an essential part of safeguarding our company's valuable assets. In this crucial role, you will lead safety initiatives, recover inventory, and design effective theft reduction programs. Collaborate closely with the district asset protection manager to monitor surveillance systems, minimize lost inventory, and implement strategic solutions aligned with our core values: respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Responsibilities Conduct discreet surveillance to identify and mitigate internal and external thefts. Perform comprehensive investigations, document findings, and apprehend individuals involved in theft or related activities. Uphold all relevant laws and company policies while executing your responsibilities. Conduct security assessments and offer recommendations to improve loss prevention and boost profitability. Collaborate with law enforcement and prepare necessary documentation for legal proceedings. Identify behaviors and conditions impacting safety and shrinkage through compliance audits and proactive communication. Act as a liaison within the district to promote efficient waste reduction strategies. Document and complete thorough reports on all asset protection activities. Assist the Asset Protection Manager in executing impactful initiatives. Ensure the effective deployment of asset protection strategies at store locations. Support internal and external investigations as needed. Provide court testimony for the company's legal cases when required. Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures. Test the functionality of surveillance systems and equipment during visits to stores. Be open to travel between various locations and maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends. Excel in fast-paced environments while effectively managing conflicts in a collaborative way. Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive customer and business information. Follow instructions while proactively seeking assistance to solve issues. Engage supportively with minors, individuals with special needs, and seniors. Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Outstanding customer service capabilities. Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and professionalism. Proven skills in defusing confrontational situations. Desired: Bachelor's Degree. Minimum one year of experience in retail asset protection. Experience managing asset protection across multiple stores. Wicklander Certification. Operational understanding of CCTV systems.
