Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Stepdown Job Details: Provide specialized nursing care for cardiac surgery patients recovering from CABG, valve surgery, and heart transplant procedures Care for post-operative lung surgery patients including those who have undergone wedge resection, lobectomy, or double lung transplant Monitor and treat patients following esophagectomies and bronchial valve procedures Support patients from EP lab, Cath lab, and general cardiology services Work as part of a teamwork-oriented unit environment Focus on helping patients achieve successful discharge outcomes following complex surgical procedures Provide step-down level care for patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical floors Facility: This medical center operates a specialized cardiac and thoracic stepdown unit known as Lerner Tower 3, focusing on post-surgical care for complex cardiac and pulmonary procedures.
