Join our Volkert Internship Program (VIP), where we cultivate the next generation of professionals in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, and Civil Engineering Technology. This internship may be available at any of our offices and does not include relocation or housing assistance. The VIP is designed specifically for undergraduate students eager to gain hands-on experience and advance their skills. While primarily a summer program, we also consider applicants for fall or spring semesters based on our office's needs. Please note: This internship program is intended solely for undergraduate students. If you have graduated, we encourage you to explore our full-time opportunities. What You Will Do: Discover the intricacies of your chosen field. Learn essential systems, processes, and industry best practices. Engage in project assignments tailored to your major. Develop business acumen and office etiquette. Understand and adhere to safety protocols in the field. Present your project and experiences to our leadership team at the conclusion of your internship. Your Qualifications: Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student. Recommended minimum standing of Sophomore; Freshman may be considered if actively involved in a STEM or leadership program. Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50. Enrolled in a degree program related to: Civil Engineering Structural Engineering Construction Management Civil Engineering Technology Preference for candidates who can commit to 40 hours per week during the summer, with a minimum of 30 hours per week required. Availability may vary in spring or fall semesters. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe workplace. A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) are required. Why Choose Volkert?
