Job Description As a Senior Infusion Nurse Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting independent physician offices and assisting members requiring infusion services. Your responsibilities will include identifying cost-effective treatment options and educating members about financial assistance programs available to them. By collaborating with healthcare providers, you will help facilitate quality care at lower-cost treatment sites, such as home infusion, combining your clinical expertise with patient advocacy to drive better outcomes and reduce patient expenses. Key Responsibilities Provide innovative site of service solutions for patients, connecting them with economical treatment alternatives rather than traditional hospital settings. Discuss financial considerations of specialty medications with members and healthcare providers to encourage informed decision-making. Utilize critical thinking to guide members in optimizing treatment plans and accessing appropriate resources for their conditions. Assist members in navigating copay assistance programs to ease their financial burden related to drug services. Manage an active caseload, ensuring each member receives comprehensive support while meeting overall program objectives. Document and track case data using a web-based application, maintaining accurate records of daily activities. Support clinical programs such as appeals to guarantee our members receive the best quality of care. Participate in regular meetings with management to evaluate member progress and program outcomes. Stay informed about community resources and treatment options available to patients. Adhere to company policies and regulations concerning patient records and documentation standards. Perform additional tasks as assigned to enhance team performance and member satisfaction. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from a state or compact state. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience. Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship. Additional Qualifications Proven experience as an RN with expertise in managed care, specialty medications, and care management. Strong understanding of clinical guidelines related to infusion therapies. Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to achieve organizational goals.
