Location: St. Louis, MORequired: Due to the nature of this role and government contract requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens.This position is based in St. Louis, Missouri and requires in-office presence. Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate to the St. Louis area. Relocation assistance is not provided. There is work from home flexibility available.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Front-End Developer with strong Angular expertise and hands-on experience building geospatial web applications. In this role, you will independently design and implement interactive mapping features, integrate spatial services, and optimize performance for data-intensive applications.You will collaborate with backend engineers, GIS analysts, and product stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance geospatial platforms.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain advanced Angular-based geospatial applications Build complex interactive map tools such as drawing, editing, measurement, filtering, and spatial querying Integrate OGC services (WMS, WMTS, WFS), REST APIs, and vector tile services Implement and manage application state using RxJS or NgRx Optimize map rendering performance for large datasets Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility Contribute to application architecture discussions Write comprehensive unit and integration tests Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidanceRequired Qualifications 3-5 years of front-end development experience (HTML5, CSS3, DOM interaction, async patterns) Strong proficiency in Angular and TypeScript Experience with at least one advanced web mapping library (OpenLayers, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Mapbox GL, etc.) Solid understanding of spatial data formats (GeoJSON, vector tiles, KML) Familiarity with geospatial coordinate systems and projections Experience working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling Experience with Git and modern CI/CD workflows Ability to optimize application builds for performance (rendering, network impact, bundle size) Familiarity with setting up and growing front end test suites (unit, component, end to end) Must currently reside in the St. Louis Metropolitan area or willing to relocate prior to start date. No relocation assistance is availablePreferred Qualifications Experience with PostGIS or spatial backend systems Familiarity with Docker and cloud environments Experience optimizing performance for large-scale spatial applicationsDesired Attributes Strong analytical and debugging skills Ability to translate complex spatial requirements into intuitive UI solutions Comfortable working independently in an Agile environment Employment with T-Kartor USA is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a pre-employment drug screening.
