About the Project Sepal is leading an innovative qualitative research initiative aimed at establishing benchmarks of professional excellence in physics education. We are looking for seasoned professionals to contribute their expertise through structured documentation of their work, establishment of domain-specific screening criteria, and development of high-quality case studies. As a vital participant, you will have the opportunity to shape an industry-informed framework for evaluating physics education expertise, with a focus on practical applications, decision-making, and professional judgment. Ideal Participants May Hold Titles Such As: Physics Professor Theoretical Physics Instructor Applied Physics Lecturer Astrophysics Faculty Quantum Mechanics Teacher Physics Lab Coordinator Requirements - Master's degree or higher in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field - At least 4 years of full-time professional teaching or research experience in physics - Strong experience with laboratory instruction and experimental design - Published research or significant contributions to physics education (preferred) - Fluent in English - Access to a computer with stable internet and video conferencing capabilities - Comfortable using remote work tools (messaging, video calls, document uploads) - Capable of working independently while following written instructions. What You'll Do - Share your professional journey, research background, and teaching approach - Help define specific evaluation criteria for physics faculty hiring and lab assessments - Document at least one significant research project, laboratory innovation, or curriculum development, detailing context, approach, challenges, and outcomes - Participate in brief feedback or calibration sessions as needed. Compensation & Logistics - Competitive pay ranging from $60 to $90 per hour, based on expertise and relevance, with bonuses for key contributions - Starts with a paid trial period - Paid biweekly according to approved and tracked hours - Fully remote and asynchronous-friendly; work at your own pace within flexible deadlines - Location: United States or Canada.
