Tree Maintenance Technician (All Levels)

Position Overview We are seeking dedicated individuals for various levels of Tree Maintenance Technician positions. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining trees for public safety through trimming, pruning, and caring for trees in various environments. Throughout your work, safety is paramount, and you may encounter hazards such as traffic, falling branches, and potentially hazardous power lines. Trimmer D/4th Class Join us as a Trimmer D/4th Class, where you will perform essential tasks such as: Pruning and removing trees while maintaining public safety. Utilizing climbing tools, ladders, and ropes effectively. Operating and maintaining tools and equipment like hydraulic tools and chipper trucks. Caring for trees by cutting away dead branches and treating diseases. Following safety protocols and receiving direction from supervisors. Trimmer C/3rd Class In the Trimmer C/3rd Class role, you will take on additional responsibilities, including: Identifying various tree species and understanding their characteristics. Trimmer B/2nd Class As a Trimmer B/2nd Class, further your career by: Assessing trees for potential failure risks. Assisting and mentoring junior trimmers. Trimmer A/1st Class Take the lead as a Trimmer A/1st Class, where you will: Oversee a team of trimmers, providing valuable on-the-job training. What We Seek in All Trimmer Levels Commitment to safety and understanding of related hazards. Basic mechanical skills, with a willingness to learn. Ability to complete proficiency tests including climbing and tools usage. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Eligibility to pass a DOT physical examination for CDL, if required. Strong communication and organizational skills. Capacity to meet the physical demands of the job. Compliance with drug and alcohol testing as per company policies. 18 years old or older (21 if CDL needed) and authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred & Required Experience For Trimmer D/4th and C/3rd Classes: Experience in tree maintenance and operation of related equipment is a plus. For Trimmer B/2nd and A/1st Classes: Experience in tree care, especially with heavy equipment, is a requirement.
