Senior Engineer

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer for our client, a rapidly growing & innovative AI startup shaping the future of generative AI technology! This is a full-time, direct hire position open to remote candidates throughout the United States.POSITION OVERVIEW You will take ownership of end-to-end development of complex full-stack AI systems, transforming ambiguous product goals into reliable, scalable solutions. You'll directly influence the core platform architecture, develop innovative generative AI integrations and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver real-world AI capabilities used by customers. PERKS Competitive annual salary up to $180k annually (depending on experience) + ESOP Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance Work remotely from anywhere in the US with flexible hours that fit your lifestyle Earn meaningful equity in a company projected to scale rapidly Grow your career with clear advancement opportunities and ongoing learning support Play a key role in shaping future AI products that impact real-world applications RESPONSIBILITIES Design, implement, and maintain full-stack AI solutions using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and relevant frameworks Develop and deploy production-grade generative AI features, including tools, agents, and workflows Collaborate with product, design, and leadership to translate product ideas into scalable engineering solutions Optimize system performance, reliability, and security across distributed, cloud-based environments Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and best practices for building resilient, scalable AI platforms Contribute to internal frameworks, reusable components, and observability tools for AI-tracing and evaluation Own features end-to-end, from requirements gathering through testing, deployment, and iteration QUALIFICATIONS 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on full-stack development Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python and cloud-based environments Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications, especially involving LLMs, generative AI, and related tools Familiarity with RAG techniques, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering Experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex Strong understanding of distributed systems, observability (e.g., OpenTelemetry), and performance optimization Proven ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and deliver high-quality solutions at an enterprise scale Experience with Python for AI workflows preferred Knowledge of AI safety systems, evaluation frameworks or LLM traceability a plus Contributions to open-source AI projects or frameworks preferred Experience with data pipelines, scalable ML infrastructure or database management desired COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This full-time position offers an annual base salary up to $180k, commensurate with experience.
