Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated Case Underwriter to play a pivotal role in our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver timely and accurate underwriting decisions that align with our pricing and profit objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Sales team to maximize opportunities for new business while maintaining existing relationships. Keeping abreast of our administrative processes and capabilities is crucial for your success. Key Responsibilities Process, review, analyze, and make informed underwriting decisions for your designated territory, refining your skills under the supervision of a manager or a more experienced underwriter until you reach proficiency. At full proficiency, your underwriting authority will extend to a maximum of 5,000 life cases or $500,000 of annualized premium. Evaluate enrollment and participation trends within your territory, providing recommendations to optimize sales while minimizing risks. Offer monthly updates on sold case successes and challenges related to access and participation for Guarantee Issue cases. Engage proactively with questions and dialogue to broaden your understanding of our products and procedures while building strong relationships with Implementation Managers. Examine non-standard broker arrangements and assess the strengths and weaknesses of enrollment companies. Identify the crucial elements for successful enrollments and make strategic recommendations that add value. Collaborate with reinsurers on cases requiring facultative review. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree or 2-4 years of relevant experience OR a High School Diploma or GED accompanied by 4-6 years of related experience. The compensation range for this role is $61,412.00 - $88,706.00 annually. The final salary will depend on various factors, including location, qualifications, and experience.
