As a Senior Applied Scientist in our Data Science organization, you will play a crucial role in developing state-of-the-art models to navigate vital trade-offs that drive business value. Your Responsibilities: Build and implement robust causal inference models to assess the overall business impact of new product launches (e.g., PSM, Double ML). Lead the establishment of measurement standards for new product and feature launches. Provide technical mentorship to other members of the data science team. Collaborate with senior leadership as a strategic partner to influence our product development initiatives. What We Look For: PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics or Statistics, along with 8+ years of distinguished industry experience. Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis and statistical modeling. Extensive theoretical and applied knowledge of a variety of quasi-experimental methods. A proven track record of shaping business and product strategy through data-driven causal insights and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience within the fintech or crypto industries. Experience with pricing models, marketing attribution, or customer LTV modeling. Understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges presented by crypto businesses and blockchain data. Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position ranges from $207,485 to $244,100 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus and equity eligibility along with comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
