We are actively seeking a driven Certification Program Development Specialist to lead the creation of Nutanix's cutting-edge certifications designed for systems professionals, including Sales Engineers, Technical Account Managers, and Professional Services Consultants. In this crucial role, you will collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, Tech Support, and industry experts to develop engaging certification materials across various testing formats, including computer-based, lab, and performance-based assessments. Your mission will be to deliver high-quality content in partnership with our Course Development team. About the Team The Technical Certification team at Nutanix thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment. We prioritize open communication, fostering the free exchange of ideas to cultivate innovation. Our diverse talents and experiences come together to implement impactful technical certification programs. You will report directly to the Director of Technical Certification, who is dedicated to championing professional growth and encouraging team collaboration. This position is primarily remote, with flexible work arrangements and some responsibilities requiring in-office meetings and team-building activities. Expect approximately 25% travel to engage with various teams and clients, enhancing our industry connections. Your Role Take ownership of Nutanix certification programs, ensuring they are valid, relevant, high-quality, and technically accurate. Utilize strong leadership skills to create cross-functional teams with stakeholders, product managers, and experts to develop and enhance our certification programs. Combine strategic and creative thinking with effective execution to produce exceptional exam content. Continuously refine and update certification materials to meet industry standards. Drive innovative improvements to maintain Nutanix's leadership status in the industry. Align certification programs with Nutanix's overarching business goals. Monitor exam performance metrics and make necessary adjustments throughout the product lifecycle. Manage Beta testing processes, proactively identifying and addressing challenges. Communicate program developments and performance updates to internal and external stakeholders. Present effectively at conferences to promote our certification programs. Serve as a consultant on assessment matters to enhance our evaluation process. Work with operations to troubleshoot and resolve any certification content or delivery-related issues. What You Will Bring Outstanding written, oral, and presentation communication skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management. Extensive practical experience with virtualization and cloud technologies, including infrastructure management, design, and automation. In-depth knowledge of systems administration, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux/Unix). Minimum of 2+ years in technical exam content development, preferably within a technology company. Notable contributions to a certification or assessment program are highly regarded. Able to facilitate meetings and group discussions effectively, both in person and remotely. Skilled in managing schedules and commitments. Capable of analyzing audience needs and aligning them with business objectives. Ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex technological concepts. Familiarity with test delivery systems is preferred. Basic knowledge of statistical analysis is an advantage. Able to work independently while demonstrating sound judgment. Capable of building and nurturing relationships at all organizational levels, including with Nutanix employees, partners, and customers. Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time. Work Arrangement This position allows for primarily remote work, with no fixed schedule for in-office attendance. However, occasional attendance at a local office or travel to other locations may be required based on business needs. The anticipated salary range for this role is between USD $112,000 and USD $224,400 annually, with variations based on individual factors such as market location, relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include benefits such as a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off.
