Description Assess patients across all age groups, integrating standardized evaluations and observational insights. Create individualized treatment plans tailored to direct short-term goals and reinforce long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on communication, language enhancement, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Coordinate efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive care strategies. Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, thereby ensuring seamless care throughout the healing process. Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Keep abreast of developments in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary within 30 days of hire. Skills Proficient in evidence-based treatment approaches catering to all ages, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills when interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Adept at adjusting therapy approaches to honor varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgement paired with sound problem-solving abilities.
