Job Title: Inspector Job Description We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inspector to join our team on the 1st shift. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality of our finished aerospace parts and components. Responsibilities Conduct final inspections of finished aerospace parts and components. Operate a CMM machine as needed. Perform both visual and dimensional inspections using standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and borescopes. Inspect components against customer specifications to determine acceptance or rejection and create non-conformance reports. Work with operation sheets and blueprints, utilizing GD&T extensively. Verify certification packages before final signature stamping. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience as an Inspector, preferably in an aerospace environment. Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Pratt or GE inspections is a significant advantage. Experience with first article inspections. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is clean, well-lit, and highly organized, featuring a mix of new and older machinery. The facility supports approximately 200 employees across two shifts. Personal protective equipment, including steel-toe shoes and safety glasses, is required on the shop floor. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, with the 1st shift operating from 7:00am to 3:30pm and the 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 12:00am. While there is potential for weekend work, it is not frequent. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Granby, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
