Position Overview Join our dedicated team as a Heavy-Duty Truck Mechanic, where your skills will play a vital role in the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of a variety of heavy-duty vehicles, including Class 3-8 trucks, buses, RVs, and trailers. Our focus is on heavy-duty suspension, brakes, and steering systems. We serve a diverse range of customers, including fleets, emergency services, and government agencies. Key Responsibilities Prioritize safety in all work performed. Conduct vehicle intake inspections and test drives. Diagnose and repair suspension systems, including leaf spring and air suspensions. Handle brake system troubleshooting and repairs, focusing on commercial air drum and air disk systems. Perform steering system diagnostics and repairs, including kingpins and tie rod ends. Utilize computerized alignment systems for heavy-duty vehicles. Conduct DOT inspections for commercial vehicles. Provide scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes and filter replacements. Execute test drives and quality control checks following repairs. Keep a clean and organized workspace. Qualifications Experience as a truck mechanic or in a related field. Possession of necessary tools, including hand tools and air tools. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Valid CDL or willingness to obtain (we will cover the cost). ASE certifications or willingness to earn them (bonuses available for each certification). Familiarity with diagnostic and repair equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Valid Driver's License required. Eligibility to work in the United States. High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
