Fiber Optics Technician needed for a 6+ Month Contract in Boston, MA! Job is on an as needed basis and must be able to respond within 72 hours of request. Average calls per month are 5-10. Our client is looking for a Fiber Optics Technician to respond to their client's service calls in Boston, MA. The Fiber Optics Technician will be responsible for the following tasks. Smart Hands-on site Patching, cleaning, scoping, labelling fibers Taking fiber light levels with an OPM Logging into equipment and providing remote connections. Ciena 6500 etc. Installing small chassis, switches etc. General FLM type activity with Techs able to use OTDR testers and OPMS and be proficient in patching, cleaning, and working with fiber.
