We are searching for a proactive and detail-focused individual to bolster our supply chain team. You will be vital in supporting our manufacturing and distribution operations through effective inventory management, processing purchase orders, and cultivating strong vendor relationships. In this role, you'll work closely with procurement, supply chain, and commercial teams to enable timely and cost-effective purchasing decisions. Your efforts will be crucial in driving process improvements that enhance our operations. This role offers a remote work arrangement, but we are specifically seeking candidates from the Eastern or Central Time Zones to synchronize with our Supply Chain team. What You'll Do Oversee the complete lifecycle of purchase orders for designated product segments, from initiation to payment reconciliation. Keep a close watch on inventory levels and customer demand to guarantee timely procurement and fulfillment. Analyze market trends, lead times, and supplier costs to support just-in-time product availability. Facilitate the RFQ process, secure competitive quotes, and negotiate pricing as needed. Maintain precise supplier cost files, documentation, and records in our ERP system. Communicate consistently with suppliers about order status, shipment schedules, and necessary adjustments. Monitor and assess supplier performance and assist in resolving quality or delivery issues. Support bulk cable inventory management and direct-ship orders for customers. Provide administrative and data support to ensure accuracy and compliance within the supply chain team. What You'll Bring A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred; relevant industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. 4+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations, preferably in industrial distribution or manufacturing, especially within the wire and cable industry. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems and purchasing workflows. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and an ability to collaborate across teams. Aptitude for managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Familiarity with Incoterms, freight terms, or global purchasing practices is advantageous.
