Job Description Senior Research Consultant, RWE, Health Outcomes Remote/Work from home Oracle Life Sciences is on the lookout for a skilled health outcomes researcher holding a PhD to join our Health Outcomes Research team within the Real World Evidence Group. This role offers you the chance to take charge of designing, analyzing, and publishing health outcome studies, such as patient surveys, large database studies through electronic health records, claims, and more, while also providing expert research consultation to both internal and external clients. We focus on assisting life science companies in developing products that enhance people's lives and overall well-being. Our unique blend of consulting, data analytics, and real-world research empowers clients to gain insights into patient, physician, and payer perspectives while advancing products to market efficiently, navigating regulatory pathways, and securing payer reimbursement and coverage. KEY OUTCOMES As a Senior Research Consultant, your responsibilities will include: Leading the design and execution of health outcomes studies as Principal Investigator, including crafting research proposals, developing questionnaires, overseeing statistical analysis plans (SAP), directing data analysis, providing analytical interpretations, and writing reports, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts. Additionally, you will: Successfully lead engagements to guarantee client satisfaction, ensuring deliverables are timely and uphold rigorous scientific quality. Support business development initiatives to identify opportunities, determine appropriate pricing, and prepare proposals. Mentor junior research staff. Attend and present at professional conferences. Be willing to travel up to 10% of the time to support responsibilities. CAPABILITIES To thrive in this role, you will need: A strong educational background, preferably with a PharmD or PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, epidemiology, health outcomes, or psychology (social psychology, behavioral science, experimental psychology). At least 6 years of cumulative work experience related to this field, including a minimum of 1 year in life sciences consulting, successfully executing real-world research studies. Proficiency in survey design and quantitative methods, particularly in patient-reported outcome measurement development and patient preference studies. A solid understanding of statistics and relevant techniques, including regression and mixed models, and data reduction methods. A strong publication record with multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts. Advanced skills in data analysis software, including SAS, SPSS, Stata, Mplus, and/or R. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Word. Highly desirable experience with EHR and/or healthcare claims data and familiarity with programming languages such as Python.
