Description Fleet Preventative Maintenance Specialist Job Type: Non-Exempt Pay: Competitive Hourly - 2nd Shift We are excited to announce an opening for a skilled and dedicated Fleet Preventative Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves traveling with maintenance supplies to various equipment locations and performing on-site maintenance on all types of machinery and vehicles, ranging from heavy-lift equipment to light-duty trucks. Your responsibilities will include: Monitoring inventory and performing inspections on vehicles Conducting preventative maintenance and routine maintenance tasks Diagnosing defects and functionality problems through machine or vehicle inspections Alerting clients to any issues that could cause their vehicles to fail inspection Assembling mechanical components according to specifications Designing action plans for all maintenance tasks Maintaining work logs and repair records, both written and electronic Ordering new parts when necessary and providing consultation on preventative maintenance procedures Working independently as well as collaboratively within a team Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while performing daily equipment inspections Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance scheduling Certification from a vocational or trade school preferred A minimum of 2 years of journeyman-level mechanic experience required In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability Excellent communication and customer service skills Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and manipulating tools Lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.
