Work Location: Nashville, TN Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with the manager during the interview. Join Our Team! We are seeking an experienced Aviation Construction Quality Inspector to oversee and ensure the success of our construction projects at the international airport facility. If you have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, we want you! Duties/Responsibilities: Oversee and manage construction activities on various projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. Conduct ongoing inspections and provide quality assurance on construction work, including specialized inspections. Thoroughly review contractor work, inspect delivered materials, and confirm compliance with all certifications. Ensure all work aligns with approved construction documents, specifications, and contract obligations. Meticulously document daily observations and promptly report any instances of noncompliance. Coordinate field testing of materials, ensuring accurate verification and high-quality outcomes. Review and authorize contractor pay applications, maintaining strict adherence to project budgets. Evaluate contractor quality control and safety manuals, ensuring adherence to established procedures. Conduct daily safety inspections to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Review construction plans and specifications to ensure effective execution of projects. Assess contractor submittals for constructability and regulatory compliance. This position requires physical capability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varied weather conditions. You must be able to complete assignments independently with regular travel to construction sites. A valid driver's license is mandatory, and extended hours, as well as overnight travel, may be required. Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of construction inspection experience. OR an Associate degree or Technical Training in construction management, engineering, or a related field, combined with 6 years of construction inspection experience. OR a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of relevant experience. 8+ years of experience in construction inspection, materials testing, and/or observation within the transportation sector. State certifications in materials testing and safety are preferred. Experience with airport construction projects is highly advantageous. Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
