Description Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized assessments and keen observations. Create bespoke treatment plans that cater to short-term objectives and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills. Work hand in hand with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to ensure holistic care. Provide education and resources to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient therapy assessments and interventions to maintain consistent care throughout the treatment path. Ensure meticulous and timely documentation in adherence to state, federal, and institutional standards. Engage in ongoing professional development by staying abreast of field advancements through education and collaboration. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) unless already ASHA-certified. Certifications State license as a Speech Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is needed within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for individuals across all age groups, with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication skills enabling rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
